Facilities Improvement Team
In the Fall of 2025, the Middlesex Select Board established the Facilities Improvement Team (FIT). The purpose of this committee is to review the way in which buildings owned by the Town of Middlesex are used, the condition of these buildings and how well these buildings serve their intended use. FIT is to evaluate the improvements and changes necessary to allow Town employees and visitors to work in safe, efficient, well laid-out and inviting conditions. Of great importance, FIT is to evaluate each building to determine how the buildings fare in the following areas:
The project is intended to support essential town services, improve safety and accessibility, and reduce long-term maintenance costs. In the few months that FIT has been operating it has focused on the Town Hall and the Town Garage with evaluations of the buildings and various options for addressing needs.
Why we are doing this work now:
The Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Town Hall. All are invited to attend any meeting in person or on online with Zoom.
