Explore Middlesex Trails
Middlesex has more than 12 miles of Class 4 roads and legal trails spread throughout town that range in length from .15 to 1.5 miles. The Middlesex Trails Committee (MTC) is creating maps and signposts to make it easier for you to find these paths and explore them year-round. The trails with signs are listed below. You can view or download any of them, or look for the signs at the trailhead (as indicated on our town trail map). The MTC will add more links to this list as new signs are finalized. Please note these paths are not maintained so be prepared for spots with wet, icy, or rocky conditions and perhaps an occasional downed tree. Please stay on the trails, which are designated by MDX trail markers (see image below). You can also create your own longer loops since many of these routes connect to other town roads. Many of these trails and roads are surrounded by private land. Please be courteous to adjoining landowners and always follow good trail etiquette. In general, parking for these trails is along the road. Please be sure to leave at least one lane of traffic open and avoid blocking any driveways. Don’t park in any turnarounds designated for the town plow. These may be in use any time, even between storms. |
